Plans and limits
What Free, Maker, Pro and Team include, yearly vs monthly prices, seats, and what happens when you reach a limit (spoiler: nothing is deleted or locked).
Every account starts with a 14-day trial of everything, with 100 AI credits and 1 free generated 3D body (your first one doesn't use credits). After that you keep designing on Free, or choose Maker, Pro or Team.
Prices: yearly or monthly
Yearly billing is the default and the cheaper option. Paying month to month costs 20 % more (so yearly saves you about a sixth). The pricing page and every upgrade dialog have an Annual / Monthly switch, and show the monthly price crossed out next to the yearly one.
| Billed yearly | Billed monthly | |
|---|---|---|
| Maker | $12 / month per seat ($144 a year) | $14.40 / month per seat |
| Pro | $39 / month per seat ($468 a year) | $46.80 / month per seat |
| Team | $29 / month per seat ($348 a year), at least 5 seats | $34.80 / month per seat |
Prices are shown to the cent, exactly as you'll be billed (taxes may apply at checkout).

The trial has every Pro feature for 14 days, 100 AI credits and 1 free generated 3D body: your first generated body doesn't use credits (see Your free trial). After that, generated bodies cost 150 credits each on every plan.
Team adds team workspaces with roles, pooled credits (4,000 per seat per month), review requests (a teammate checks an alternative before it is used in the main design), a team library and real-time multiplayer. It starts at 5 seats. See Team workspaces and Seats and team billing. Enterprise (SSO, SCIM, audit and compliance features, custom limits) is on the roadmap.
Seats
Maker, Pro and Team are priced per seat: one seat per person in the workspace. On Maker and Pro you can add people to your own workspace; inviting someone when every seat is taken asks you to add a seat first (charged pro rata for the rest of the period). Each seat adds its monthly AI credits to the workspace. Team checkout starts at 5 seats and can't go below.
How the limits work
Things
A Thing is a project you own. Your plan sets the total you can have, and how many of them can be private. The rest are public, shared as open source. On Free every Thing is public. See Private and public Things.
Things you use from the Marketplace (a screw, a hinge) never count toward your limit or your storage. Only Things you own count.
Storage
Storage covers everything you own: geometry and history, uploads, concept images, renders, drawings and exports. A meter shows usage, with warnings at 80 percent and 100 percent. Solid Vibes never deletes your data silently to make room.
Credits
Credits pay for AI work and heavier compute. Monthly credits reset each month (also on yearly billing). Top-up packs carry over. Free has no monthly credits and no packs. See Credits, explained.
Features
When you reach for a feature your plan does not include, you see a polite upgrade prompt at that moment, not a wall.
What happens when you reach a limit
- Nothing is deleted. Not your Things, your history, your files.
- Nothing is locked. You can keep viewing and editing the Things you have.
- New Things wait until you upgrade, free a slot, or (for the private limit) publish an existing Thing as public.
Choosing a plan
| If you... | Consider |
|---|---|
| Make now and then, and are happy to share your designs | Free |
| Print regularly, want STEP export, private Things and AI every month | Maker |
| Need drawings with tolerances, DXF/DWG/PDF, 4K renders, simulation, the full History tools | Pro |
| Work on a team and share a library | Team |
Changing or canceling your plan
Manage your plan from Account, Billing & plan (or search "billing" in the command palette). Upgrades start right away and are prorated. If you cancel, your designs are never deleted: when the paid period ends you move to Free, and if you have private Things you choose first whether to subscribe again or make them public. See What happens when your trial ends.
Try it
Press ⌘K (or Ctrl + K), type plan, and open Billing & plan. Flip the Annual / Monthly switch above the plans to compare.

What happens when your trial ends
After 14 days you keep designing on Free, or pick a plan. If you have private Things, nothing changes until you choose: subscribe to keep them private, or confirm they become public.

Private and public Things (the open-source rule)
