Reporting a problem with an error reference
Copy the error reference and describe the last action so support can find the failure.
When something unexpected fails, the existing error message may show a reference and a Copy reference button. Copy it before retrying or reloading. If copying is unavailable, select the reference and copy it yourself.
For a save failure, click Not saved to open the details. Copy the reference there, or choose Retry saving. Automatic retries continue while you work.
Include the reference, the approximate time and time zone, what you were trying to do, and what happened instead. Say whether it happened once or repeats, and whether you were offline. Keep passwords, API keys, payment details and private share links out of the report. A screenshot of the error can help; crop out work you do not want to share.
Our engineers use the reference to find the operation, app version, safe failure category and related steps. Diagnostic records do not include your prompts, designs or uploaded files. We may ask for a minimal example separately if the operational evidence is not enough to reproduce the problem.
A reference does not confirm that a report reached us. Network problems, browser blockers or a monitoring outage can prevent it. If there is no reference, the time, action and visible message still help. Keep your report even if a retry succeeds; it can explain an intermittent failure.
Normal validation messages, credit limits and cancellations do not necessarily have an error report. Follow the message first. For a file that remains unavailable, see My picture wasn't checked for viruses.
